MKMlabs' new content distribution platform allows organisations to bring together VLEs, e-portfolios, assessments systems with a wide range of mobile devices.
The system opens up a dialogue between the systems and the mobile devices, creating new possibilities for tutors and learners. The distribution layer allows content to be sent to mobile devices, which learners can respond to back into their learning environments. Learners can engage with diverse learning content, assessments and activities wherever they are and know that their mobile spaces and web spaces are in sync.
Case study – Leading Medical School
A leading medical school is using the new distribution layer to allow students to engage with assessments and learning resources, such as e-books, whilst on placement. Previously, students on had limited access to IT facilities and, in many cases, no phone reception. The new distribution layer allows for online and offline secure synchronisation of data with the institutional system.
