Moodle Learning Log
In order for e-learning to be truly effective it is imperative that the progress of a student can be viewed quickly and accurately. The same criteria applies when giving feedback to encourage and support the learner thoughout their course.
That's why we developed this simple tool to allow the tracking of activities through the Moodle learning environment.
Developed as an extension to the core functionality of the Moodle VLE, learners are provided with a simple microblog, similar to Twitter, in which their activity can be recorded. Reflective activities embedded within the e-learning content can communicate directly with the learning log adding quiz scores, answers, reflections and responses for review by peers or tutors.

Further integration with notepad functionality can allow even more reflective responses to be stored and documented to show understanding of subject materials.
Open and interoperable
The learning log component has been developed with openess and extensibility in mind, allowing for almost anything to post data directly into the log. Whether your content is HTML, Powerpoint or Flash developers can construct calls to the learning log as simply as constructing a URL or a HTML form.
"Using the learning log we're no longer bound by the limitations of the SCORM specification for tracking and recording learner progress. We can now store almost any response from our rich actitivites to allow tutors, mentors and learners to reflect and discuss as a core part of their learning experience."
